➥ Construction work for ‘Increment of PG Seats’ related infrastructure at 8 (eight) Medical Colleges & Hospitals at, North 24 pgs (College of Medicine & Sagore Dutta Hospital), Murshidabad, Malda, Diamond Harbour, Rampurhat, Raiganj, Coochbehar, Purulia including delivery of furniture & installation of equipment is under progress. This will increase 606 PG Seats in different subjects of Medical Education.
➥ WBMSCL has also been associated in the construction of 42 Super Specialty Hospitals across the state. The entire Operation & Maintenance of Civil, Electrical, MGPS, IT & Fire and the Facility Management of these 42 Super Speciality Hospitals are maintained by WBMSCL.
➥ 4 new Mother and Child Hubs (Matri Maa Building) are under construction at Diamond Harbour, Anupnagar, Rampurhat, Diamond Harbour.
➥ The College of Yoga & Naturopathy at Belur (Howrah), the first of its kind, has also being constructed by WBMSCL and is now functioning.
➥ WBMSCL is now constructing 9 Critical Care Blocks and also 13 District Integrated Public Health Laboratories across different districts. One 100 Bedded Covid Hospital at Raghunathpur and 2 Urban Community Health Centres at Nimta and Akalpur are also being constructed.
➥ More than 350 different types of Medical Equipment along with testing consumables, accessories for Microbiology laboratories, Chemical Larvicide (Temephos), Bio-larvicide (BTI) and long lasting Insecticidal Nets (LLIN) etc have been procured by WBMSCL.
➥ The ongoing procurement of these procured items by WBMSCL are mainly consisting of 128 slice CT Scan machine (for NRS MCH and MCH Kolkata), High end Cath Lab machine (at Burdwan MCH and MCH Kolkata), Brachytherapy Machine (at Bankura Sammilani MCH), BMD machine for Geriatric Medicine Unit (at MCH Kolkata), Bi-Plane Paediatric Cath Lab Machine (at IPGMER and SSKM Hospital), Perinatal Cardiology (IPGMER and SSKM Hospital), Multi Dimensional Surgical Imaging System (at Bangur Institute of Neuroscience), Vitrectomy Surgery Unit (at IPGMER and SSKM Hospital) and Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine for Tertiary Cancer Care (TCC) Centre (at COM & Sagore Dutta Hospital, IPGMER and SSKM Hospital, Murshidabad MCH and Malda MCH) etc.
➥ Also, several projects are ongoing under MPLAD Scheme for setting up of state-of-the-art facilities like Robotics Surgery. Unit, IVF, Moduar OT etc at IPGMER & SSKM Hospital.
➥ Upgradation of primary tier health facilities funded under 15th Finance Commission for FY 2022-23 through Supply, Installation of different Medical Equipment, Electrical Items and Furniture are being done by WBMSCL. Under this project, much number of modern sophisticated instruments like Cell Counter, Dental mirror with probe, Ophthalmic Equipment, Urine Analyser, Stethoscope, Wheel Chair, DG Set with AMF Panel and Day Care & Delivery Bed etc. has been incorporated with many others
➥ WBMSCL has been playing a pivotal role in the installation of medical gas pipeline, setting up of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plants and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants at all Health Facilities of West Bengal across the state. The Operation and maintenance of both the installed Medical Gas Pipeline (MGPS) and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants has been maintained by WBMSCL since its inception at the health care facilities. Presently, Medical Gas Pipeline (MGPS) system has been installed at around 150 Hospitals and works of 20 new Hospitals are in pipeline. A total 27 number of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) plants have been constructed to ensure steady supply of Medical Oxygen at the health facilities, 66 number of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants have been supervised & maintained by WBMSCL. The work of repair, rectification and comprehensive maintenance of PSA oxygen generators at 66 Health Facilities has also been entrusted to WBMSCL.
➥ WBMSCL has already procured 30 ALS Ambulances and under procurement process of 25 ALS Ambulances out of MPLAD fund for different Health districts.
➥ WBMSCL is also providing Facility Management Services to different Medical Colleges, Ayush Hospitals for better patient care management.
